PWP Chapter 63 hosts campouts for their members.  We usually go to state parks or sometimes membership campgrounds as guests.  Our sites will always have water and electric hookups and sometimes even sewer hookups (for the RVs).  The campsites are shared with usually one RV and one or more tents per campsite. We have a combination of RV owners and tent campers - both are welcome.

There is usually a pot luck dinner or other activity on Saturday night so everyone can get to know each other.   In the colder weather we gather around a big campfire at night to talk and tell jokes or play cards or dominoes.  We have FUN!

Call 281 469-5646 or email barbaraspade@att.net
ASAP for reservations!

RV campers: pay the daily rate of the site ($18 - $30+ per night)

Tent campers or someone staying in an RV:  price determined by number of campers attending.  We will try to share the cost of the campsites.

Campers who cancel after the deadline must pay the first night or the $5.00 cancellation fee (whichever TPWD charges us) if we have to cancel the site and cannot resell it.

*** All prices are PER ADULT. Children under 18 are free.   Children may bring a friend at no charge but the member must be responsible for that child.  Member's children over 18 may attend with their parent.

RESERVATIONS

Advanced reservations are needed to attend our campouts. Please make them as soon as possible, but at least one week prior to the campout. It is better to call with a "maybe" than to show up without calling. Day visitors are encouraged to call even if they will not be staying to camp with us.  Advanced payment guarantees your reservation and discount. Please pay by a CHECK made out to PWP.  We need to know in advance how many sites to reserve.

Members with a camping vehicle MUST pay in advance. Sites are NOT guaranteed without payment. If you make a reservation and cannot attend the campout, a phone call to the person in charge is expected. If no phone call is received, then payment for the campout is expected before another reservation can be made. Deadline for reservations or cancellations for RV campers is ONE WEEK before campout.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

All cancellations need to be made one week in advance by calling the host of the event.

If you have prepaid and you cancel one week in advance, there might be a $5.00 fee by the park. If you intend to pay at the campout and have reserved a vehicle site, and have not called to cancel one week in advance, you must still pay the camping fee.  We understand last minute emergencies happen.  If this occurs, call the host in charge immediately.  Campers may still have to pay unless the State Park office will refund our money.

OFFICIAL RULES FOR PWP FAMILY CAMPOUTS

  2. Camping fees are to be paid in advance or when you sign in. It is your responsibility to come to the host instead of making them search for you.
